BSNL Revival package coming in one month: CMD
BSNL Chairman and managing director P K Purwar said on Monday
21 Oct, that the sidelines of an event, over in a couple of months and the
government should come out with a revival package within one month.
Big Announcements by BSNL CMD
1. BSNL would be able to launch 4G services in this end of financial year before March 2020. CMD said that we expect government to allocate 4G spectrum in this financial year.
2. Details of revival package will come in publicly domain within a month.
DoT has plans to fund for BSNL VRS packages via a mix of Rs
6,365 crore in cash and through bonds.
The department of telecommunications has now working on a
BSNL revival plan for it, which suggests a voluntary retirement scheme (VRS)
for BSNL’s employees.
BSNL has near about 1,58,000 employees. The VRS package
however, needs to be approved by the Telecom Commission get decision making

The BSNL has been making deep losses continuously since
2009-10,So It has been declared ‘incipient sick’.BSNL has the least leveraged telecom
company. They have certain legacy issues because it has large manpower.
