BSNL IDA Rate 01 January 2026

BSNL IDA (Industrial Dearness Allowance) rate as of January 2026:

For Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs) like BSNL, the IDA rate effective from 1 January 2026 (based on the All-India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers for Sept–Nov 2025) is estimated at 236.8 % of basic pay. 

This reflects an increase of around 3.6 % compared to the previous quarter.

This percentage represents the total IDA applicable to employees whose pay scales are on the 2007 revision basis (which BSNL follows).

BSNL employees on the 2007 Pay Scale, the IDA rate effective from 1 January 2026 is expected to increase to around 236.7%–236.8%. 

This represents a hike of approximately 3.5%–3.6%, based on the All-India Consumer Price Index (AICP-IN) data for the period September–November 2025. However, implementation will be subject to the issuance of final official orders by the Department of Public Enterprises (DPE).
