DA Freeze Hike “DA Freeze”, Hike order by government By criticism of CORONA Covid-19 impact the Government take a decision on DA hike freeze for government employees. The central government has announced to DA freeze, DR hike,Dearness allowance was temporary and intended to increase the limited fiscal space available to support vulnerable groups and small and medium enterprises and the informal sector. The central government had taken the decision for DA hike in view of the crisis arising out of "CORONA" Covid-19.And It also   clarified that DA and DR would continue to be already paid at current rates of 17% of basic pay or pension. The government take a decision, the cabinet had decided to hike the DA and DR by 4% retrospectively from January 1,2020, increasing the effective rate to 21%.
