| "Diwali Gift" for BSNL |
BSNL chairman and MD P.K. Purwar told IANS, Staff get salaries to the
employees before Diwali festival from our own resources on accruals. BSNL have generate
Rs 1,600 crore a month revenues from our services.
BSNL's per month expenditure given of staff Salary approximate
Rs 750-850 crore. BSNL generates about Rs 1,600 crore per month revenues, this
amount is not enough to cover the wages and required for operational expenses
and statutory payments.
SNEA has called for hunger strike from November 4th, to
November 8th, 2019 at BSNL corporate office.All Unions and Associations of the BSNL (AUAB) has called for
a one day hunger strike on Friday, October 18th to protest against non payment
of September salary, and also timely payment of salary every month.
AUAB union get the decision to go for a one day hunger strike
after meeting today.
The agenda will be Non-payment of contract and casual workers
wages for the past 8 months and non-payment of electricity bills.The agenda of the today meeting,” said one of the sources,
who is close to the development.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the SNEA,
the BSNLEU, the NFTE, the AIBSNLEA, the National Union of BSNL Workers and the
SC/ST Employees Welfare Association of BSNL (SEWA BSNL), among others attended
the meeting. And the unions such as the SNATTA, the BSNLMS, the BSNLOA and the
Telecommunication Employees Progressive Union (TEPU) were also present in this meeting.
The all unions of BSNL will also hold in lunch hour demonstrations across all
circles on the same day.
The unions will be also seeking for BSNL’s revival and
immediate allocation of 4G spectrum.
